Dear Mother,

You can bet on yer beard I mean to travel all the way there. To Erebor!

I will lay eyes upon our ancestral home restored, and oh how I long to
see it. I know that the road is long, but I am unafraid. I have fallen
in with a stout bunch of fellow travellers, and we all mean to go to
Dale and speak with King Bard first. He has sent out a call for
adventurers, and that’s what I am now! I will put your sword to good
use in the service of this king of Men, as he clears all the land of Orcs
and Goblins.

I know that I am not the best with spoken words, but one of my
companions is. She could charm the birds from the trees, such honeyed
words she speaks. I am certain that on her reccomendation King
Bard will welcome us into his service, and if with hard work I can
win favour there who knows where I might end up? In Erebor itself! A
guard to King Dáin himself!

Forth Eorlingas!

Undecided on characters, but currently 2 ideas are at the forefront:

1. Bree hobbit from the lower class warden, who's adventuring so he can build the necessary fortune to marry his shire gentle hobbit love. Generally pleasant, good at talky talky

2.Woodman Wanderer, young man who's been around the woods, now is looking to expand horizon. Probably local at Woodman Town. Good at adventuring, survival, etc...

Both are very cool ideas.

I play a bum who can't track, live off the wilds, detect ambushes or stay quiet.

But I sleep deep, drink much and I know things of yore somehow.

Can also do music and stories and do killing.

Im an elf who can do a little bit of survival. Good scout with solid stealth and perception. Fights with two swords. And can shoot stuff sometimes.

When you set up your character go ahead and roll your starting money as well (it's attached to your race if you didn't notice). Because of happy fun times you all can start with 10s on top of your rolls.

And Rations are only 60c instead of the 120c listed in the book.

Yay! I can buy a shield.

Hey there!

Fallenstar will be joining us going forward. He'll meet up with you all in Laketown in the days ahead as soon as he's got his character solidified.

Is there anything the group is currently lacking?

As of right now we have:

Eoreath- Slayer (Rider) from Rohan
Hael- Wanderer and Guide from Mirkwood (has been partially inactive as of late due to RL)
Rhawen- Burglar (with some talking skills) from Mirkwood.
Tirnel- Warrior (Weaponmaster) from Mirkwood
Uriel- Scholar and Healer from Gondor
Vidar- Warrior wandering dwarf craftsman

If Hael is still busy with RL something that could fit into a Guide role (High Wisdom and Survival) might not be a bad idea; maybe a Wanderer or a Warden. Might not be bad to avoid being an elf too, in order to keep options open for interactions with a number of different types of people (some folks don't like elves all that much).

That's Dwarf, Smith, Mason and Warrior and in that order thank you very much!

I'm leaning towards Dúnedain Wanderer. Sounds like he should fit fairly well.
